Holiday Crisp Crumble

Ingredients

  • 2 C apples

Ingredients for Filling:

  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp lime, zest
  • 1/4 C brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch salt

Ingredients for Topping:

  • 1/4 C whole wheat flour
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 3/4 C oats
  • 1/4 C brown sugar
  • 1/2 C pecans, chopped (substitute with any desired nut)

Directions

Mise en place

  • Peel and dice apple (or your fruit of choice) into a ½ inch dice
  • Measure out your ingredients.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Prepare filling

  • Combine the filling ingredients with diced apples in a large mixing bowl.
  • Scoop the filling into a large casserole dish or individual baking dishes.

Prepare topping

  • In a separate bowl, mix together the topping ingredients until well combined.
  • Sprinkle the topping over fruit mixture
  • Bake in the oven until bubbly, about 30 minutes.

Serve

  • Serve warm or at room temperature and enjoy!
