Garlicky Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 3 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 C green beans , 1-inch pieces , fresh or frozen.
  • 2 C spinach
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic

Directions

Mise En Place

  • Measure out all ingredients.
  • Wash and dry green beans if using fresh.
  • Mince the garlic and set aside.

Prepare the recipe

  • Combine the sauce ingredients – soy sauce, apple cider vinegar and honey – in a separate bowl.
  • Place a large sauté pan on a high heat burner.
  • Once the pan is hot, carefully add the olive oil.
  • Being very careful, add spinach and green beans.
  • Sauté the green beans and spinach until bright green. Mix in the sauce and garlic. Simmer for 2 minutes or just until thickened.
  • Check for seasoning.

Serve

  • serve with brown rice.
