- 1 1/2 C brown rice
- 3 1/2 C water
- 1 t salt
Mise En Place
- Measure out the rice, water, and salt.
- Combine rice and water in a heavy-bottomed pot.
- Bring to a boil and add salt.
- Reduce to a simmer and cover. Simmer for 35 minutes.
- Keep covered and allow to sit for 15 minutes.
- Fluff with a fork and serve in the bowls.
