Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic or 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 1/3 cup of tahini (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon parsley (optional)
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice (about 1 teaspoon)
  • 1 (15 ounces) can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Water (as needed)

Directions

Using a blender, puree all of the ingredients together.

If necessary, thin out with water.

Transfer hummus to a serving bowl.

Garnish with the paprika and parsley (optional).

Serve and enjoy with whole grain pita bread or fresh veggies!
