Sloppy Joes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 red bell pepper
  • 1/2 onion
  • 11 oz lean ground beef
  • 3/4 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1/2 C ketchup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 whole wheat buns

Directions

Mise en place

  • Wash and dry the red bell pepper, then dice.
  • Chop the onion.
  • Measure out the ingredients.

Prepare

  • In a medium skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, onion and red pepper.
  • Drain off liquids once meat is browned.
  • Stir in the mustard and ketchup. Mix until well combined.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper

Serve

  • Serve on whole wheat buns.
  • Enjoy!
