Jerk-Spiced Tilapia

Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1/2 jalapeño, seeded and minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tilapia fillets
  • 2 limes, quartered

Directions

Preheat oven to 400°F.

In a small bowl, mix together the garlic, jalapeño, thyme, chili powder, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, black pepper, salt, and olive oil to form a paste.

Place the tilapia fillet on a cookie sheet lined with foil.

Spread each fillet with an equal amount of the paste mixture.

Bake the fillets until just cooked through, about 7 minutes.

Quarter the limes and squeeze fresh lime juice into each fillet.
