Help Keep Food Education in Classrooms

SNAP-Ed funding has been cut. Without your help thousands of kids could lose access to critical nutrition and cooking education.

What’s At Stake?

Every dollar raised will go to sustaining our programs, delivering classes, materials, and meals to the students and families who count on us.
  • Thousands of students may lose access to cooking and nutrition classes.
  • Families will miss out on vital information about affordable, healthy eating.
  • Communities already facing health and food access disparities will fall even further behind

For 20 years, Common Threads has been in classrooms and community spaces teaching kids how to cook, eat well, and build lifelong healthy habits. Through our hands-on programs, from cooking classes and garden lessons to nutrition education, we’ve empowered thousands of children and families in under-resourced communities to thrive.
But today, that vital work is at risk.
Due to the sudden defunding of SNAP-Ed programming, Common Threads is facing a funding gap that directly threatens our ability to continue programming in certain markets.
