93% of Common Threads' children now help thier families cook at home.

Common Threads' Summer Camp offers cooking, gardening, movement, and culture classes designed to give campers a full curriculum centered around health, well-being, and cultural awareness.

At this time we are no longer accepting applications due to a full roster. To find out more or to sign up for classes this Fall, email allison@commonthreads.org.

A special thanks to our summer camp sponsor:

In partnership with the ConAgra Foods Foundation, Common Threads will provide more than 160 children, ages 8-12, with the opportunity to learn the importance of nutrition and physical well-being while fostering an appreciation for cultural diversity through an innovative summer camp program.  Each camper will enjoy daily classes in healthy cooking, world dance traditions, and organic gardening; creating a unique summer experience for children from the Kenwood and South Side Neighborhoods of Chicago.  ConAgra Foods Foundation is committed to nourishing kids today so that they can flourish tomorrow!
