Courtney Turner

Common Threads staffers come from varying backgrounds, but share a concern for children, a commitment to positive social change, and a love of good food and the communities food can create and sustain.

Courtney Turner graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in Philosophy, focusing in values and social policy. After college, Courtney attended Cook Street School of Fine Cooking, where she learned traditional French and Italian regional cooking. Before receiving her certification, she cooked in Paris, France and Asti, Italy. Courtney has always been dedicated to serving the youth in her community and believes in treating others with respect and dignity. So Common Threads embodies Courtney’s two main passions: world cooking and kids! As Common Thread’s Culinary Program Manager, Courtney trains and manages the chef instructors, manages the program sites, manages relationships with partnering schools, develops curriculum and is the Director of the Summer Camp Program.
