Common Threads staffers come from varying backgrounds, but share a concern for children, a commitment to positive social change, and a love of good food and the communities food can create and sustain.

Nikki has a BA is Arts Management and minor in Marketing from Columbia College Chicago. She completed an internship with the Museum of Contemporary Art working in Special Events. Nikki grew up in a single family household and cooking was her contribution. She needed a step stool just to reach the stove! She is originally from the big state of Texas and loves Tex-Mex. Nikki has never been a picky eater; she also enjoys all kinds of fruits, spinach, mushrooms and of course, cheese!
